Wouldn't have more chance of applying *to* the lottery for funding?

Here's something that's been rolling around in my head for a while...
Each lottery ball has two digits on it, i.e. 23, 47, 06, etc.
These digits are printed on the lottery balls with ink.
Because certain combinations of numbers have a larger digit surface area than others - 08 has more surface area than 11, for example - that means that there are tiny differences in the volume of ink used, thus each ball has a slight weight discrepancy in relation to all the other balls.
Bearing this in mind, that would mean that there are certain 'heavier' balls which are more likely to sink to the bottom of the lottery machine which, surprise surprise, is where the opening is located where said balls magically pop out.
Therefore, if you had the resources, time and effort, you could work out the total surface area of each set of digits, it's relevant weight of ink, and the increased likelihood of it's appearance on a 'draw'.
Hey presto, you've just managed to drastically reduce the odds of winning the lottery by predicting which of the balls are most likely to come out.
Makes you think doesn't it?
Or maybe not.

And of course, if you knew the position of every atom in existence you could calculate the future outcome of anything with Chaos theory.
Okay, someone has to win it most weeks.
But odds of 16,000,000 to 1 are not particularly favourable.
I think the lottery should cost you your life if you lose. Puts the odds in persepctive then. Would also help cull the population, what an excellent idea! When was Camelot's contract up...

You would probably need to win the lottery to pay for the research in order to do this to win the lottery.
Hmmm.....

About 5 months ago I made a short and turned it in to one of the new internet film sites. They just emailed me saying that my check for $100 was in the mail. It was only a three minutes long and I won $100. So do the numbers. What am I talking about? Well it is real simple. We are playing the lottery everyday by gambling on a chance to make money in the film industry and yet we don't gamble on the possibility that mabe our movies and short films can make any money. But you know what, they do. They do make money, and if we just put enough effort in creating something that really rock, then we would be better off than playing the lottery.
